2023 Appeal Letter

Dear Friend,

For 53 years, the Gardner CAC has helped countless families in need, and we are committed to continuing our work. Taking a few minutes of our time to reflect on the last year, we’ve seen how deep the impact of our current economy and inflation has had on the people we serve.

In the last fiscal year, all of our programs have seen an increase in utilization – some experiencing a 60% increase! Here’s a glimpse of what we accomplished in our community:

• 7,338 individuals were provided with food

• 213 brand new backpacks with school supplies were collected & distributed

• 965 medical rides were provided to senior citizens

• 557 children received Christmas gifts

• 5,024 meals were served at the Fellowship Table

• 252 families were provided with a Holiday food basket

For one single mother raising her two children, the impact of inflation has been devastating. Balancing a tight monthly budget was nearly impossible with the increases in food, oil, and electricity. Just when she thought she was able to make ends meet, she was given a 30 days’ notice that her rent was increasing by $300.00. Thankfully, the Gardner CAC was there to assist her with food, Christmas gifts, and heating. This is just one of the stories we hear each day.

The Gardner CAC is humbly asking for your help and support to serve the many families in need. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, will help us provide food, transportation, clothing, and other essential services.
