History

The Gardner Community Action Committee was founded in 1970, when a group of seven concerned citizens came together to find ways to help eliminate hunger in the Greater Gardner area. Since that time, The Gardner CAC has remained focused on its mission and the vision of promoting self-sufficiency for low-income individuals and families.

The organization has grown from a small food pantry offering nutritious groceries once every three months, to one providing food assistance on a monthly basis. Additionally the Gardner CAC offers several distinct programs and services that foster self-sufficiency and improve the quality of life of many of our neighbors.
